Inaugural Event Brings Together ISTE and University of Pennsylvania

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Sept. 15, 2022 – Future Ready Schools® (FRS), an initiative led by All4Ed helping transform schools into engaging learning environments, and Capstone, an innovative learning company merging children’s content with easy-to-use edtech tools for K-5 classrooms, libraries, and homes, are partnering on a series of professional learning forums for education leaders to empower and support digital innovation in their schools. The first event joins forces with the International Society of Technology in Education (ISTE) and the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education on November 10th in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to share with educators the latest research and emerging practices that support digital learning innovation.

The Future Ready Schools® Leadership Forum “Creating a Culture of Excellence and Innovation” invites like-minded education leaders to an interactive professional learning experience that will empower them to: shift current professional practices and leverage new methods to support digital learning innovation across the curriculum; engage in authentic conversations around successes and roadblocks; and design a personalized action plan to achieve their goals.

The event features keynote speakers:

  • Richer Cullata, Chief Executive Officer, International Society for Technology in Education
  • L. Michael Golden, EdD, Executive Director, Catalyst @ Penn Graduate School of Education, Teaching, Learning, and Leadership Division, Senior Fellow

Facilitating the event will be: Shannon McClintock Miller, Future Ready Librarians Leader and Director of Innovation and District Teacher Librarian at Van Meter Schools, Iowa; Bill Bass, Innovation Coordinator, Instructional Technology, Information, Library Media, and Federal Programs at Parkway Schools, Missouri; and Adam Phyall, III, EdD, Future Ready Advisor and Director of Technology and Media Services, Newton County School System, Georgia. Educators can register for the event at: futureready.org/leadership.

“All4Ed is thrilled to be partnering with like-minded organizations to support digital literacy and the innovative use of digital tools to support equity and excellence for all students,” said Deborah Delisle, President & CEO, All4Ed.

The collaboration between FRS and Capstone brings three additional in-person forums through coalitions with organizations leading the industry on digital innovation.  Future events will be held in Atlanta, Georgia (February 21, 2023); Seattle, Washington (March 2023); and Minneapolis, Minnesota (July 2023).

“Capstone is thrilled to partner with Future Ready Schools on this series of professional learning forums as they align with our vision of how digital innovation can transform schools and student learning. It’s inspiring to bring together such a passionate, dynamic group of education leaders to help guide and empower them as they promote innovation in their schools,” said Maerin Coughlan, Capstone Director of Community.
