MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – July 19, 2022 – Capstone, an innovative learning company merging children’s content with easy-to-use edtech tools for K-5 classrooms, libraries, and home, is lending support to Ukraine relief efforts through the publication of its forthcoming children’s book, Blue Skies and Golden Fields: Celebrating Ukraine (pub. Sept. 1). Capstone is donating all proceeds from the book through 2025 to help children and families in the Ukraine.

Written by Ukrainian author and educator Oksana Lushchevska, Blue Skies and Golden Fields is a culturally immersive look at the people of Ukraine, connecting young readers with the country’s rich culture, history, and daily life. Bold photographs, vivid narrative, and authentic activities come together in the hands-on exploration of the Eastern European country. Celebrated author Oksana Lushchevska shares the treasures of her beloved home country, taking young readers beyond the headlines and into the heart of Ukraine.

“Like the rest of the world, we have been horrified as we watch the events unfolding in Ukraine and felt compelled to do something to help the refugees. This has been a passion project for us, wanting to honor and celebrate Ukrainian people and culture and really immerse readers in those aspects. Author Oksana Lushchevska’s pride and sense of love for her country shines throughout the book and we’re so proud to share that with readers,” said Beth Brezenoff, Capstone VP of Publishing.

Blue Skies and Golden Fields will be available through online retailers, distribution partners, and direct from Capstone upon its publication September 1, 2022. A preview of the book is available at www.capstonepub.com/fall-preview.
