ISTELive 2024: What Not to Miss at This Year’s Conference and Expo

June 13, 2024

The school year has just come to a close, but the excitement of summer brings us closer to ISTELive 2024. From June 23-26, a dynamic gathering of educators, administrators, edtech experts, and edtech companies will take place both online and in the vibrant city of Denver, Colorado.

For over forty years, the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) has cultivated a creative and engaged edtech community focused on connection, innovation, and advocating for technology in the classroom. Each year, the ISTELive Conference and Expo attracts over 16,000 educators and industry professionals, making it one of the most influential education events of the year.

Against a backdrop of the beautiful mountain peaks towering over the skyline of the city, this year’s conference in Denver, Colorado is one you won’t want to miss. In addition, a myriad of opportunities to learn and connect with other professionals––alongside many ways to engage virtually––will make ISTELive 2024 a valuable opportunity for professional development.

Here are 10 things you won’t want to miss as you venture into the future of learning at ISTELive 2024:
  1.   Jumpstart the inspiration with pre-conference activities spanning from workshops and early sessions to guided trips and tours around Denver.
  2.   Attend the Mainstage opening keynote presentation featuring futurist and tech educator Sinead Bovell and author and AI leader Mo Gawdat.
  3.   Connect with education leaders from around the world at the Leadership Exchange, a special event which provides leader-centric professional development through influential speakers and exclusive networking opportunities.
  4.   Get your fix of delicious tacos, a foodie favorite that Denver has quite the abundance of! Try one (or a dozen!) of these 25 essential tacos in and around Denver.
  5.   Explore the ISTE expo hall featuring engaging product demos and networking opportunities from 1,170 innovative companies and organizations in the edtech industry.
  6.   Learn from other educators and industry experts through more than 1,500 learning opportunities, delivered through concurrent, live, and virtual sessions ranging from informative presentations to hands-on sessions to live demos.
  7.   Get inspired by exciting presentations and sessions from 17 featured visionary speakers who are experts and leaders across the edtech industry and beyond.
  8.   Take a break from the conference to decompress at the Denver Art Museum, one of the largest art museums between Chicago and the west coast which features over 70,000 works of art.
  9.   Discover a wealth of new ideas and perspectives on top edtech topics and trends––including artificial intelligence, diversity and inclusion, and supporting students––through more than 25 ISTELive panel sessions.
