Classroom Libraries - First Grade
These on-level Classroom Libraries feature themed packages with first grade in mind. The libraries have been created to meet your students' needs and interests, and provide you with the convenience of leveled text for small-group instruction.
Learning about their community is part of the social studies standards for primary students. This Communities classroom library was created specifically for first graders. Each of the 30 books has a GRL in the range of G-I and provides students with access to topics on several levels. This package contains one copy of 30 books about community, town, state, homes, farming, and more.
Chicken Little, Paul Bunyan, Daniel Boone, Beauty and the Beast and many more Fairy Tales, Folktales, and Legends are packed into this classroom library. You will find traditional tellings of these tales as well as new takes on old favorites including the Poodle and Pee or the Cat Who Cried Dog. These hilarious and engaging fractured versions of old favorites will help in teaching perspective in the classroom. Each of the 25 books has a GRL in the range of E-I and provides students with access to stories on several levels.
This Life Science package was created to specifically give first graders a range of content to support their learning of Life Science concepts. Each of the 40 books has a GRL in the range of F-I and provides students with access to topics on several levels. Students will learn about their bodies and organs as well as concepts about plant life. This package includes books on Life Cycles, the Senses, and how to differentiate between living and nonliving things.
This literature package was created to give your first graders access to fiction titles with a GRL in the range of E-I. This package is perfect for teaching students about the elements of story.
This Physical Science package was created specifically to give first graders a range of content to support their learning of Physical Science concepts. Each of the 20 books has a GRL in the range of H-I and provides students with access to topics on several levels. Students will learn about sound, pushes and pulls, shadows, springs, pulleys, and many other Physical Science concepts.
