Capstone Young Readers Launches eBook Retail Beta Program at Select Indie Bookstores

Minneapolis, Minn. – Dec. 4, 2014 – Capstone Young Readers, a leading publisher of children’s books and digital products and services, announces the launch of the CapReader Retail Program Beta which will enable consumers to purchase bundled editions of book and interactive eBook editions through participating retailers. This pilot is available exclusively through select independent booksellers beginning this month.

CapReader interactive eBooks include enhanced features such as natural voice narration and text highlighting, and a free CapReader eBook is included with the download of the free CapReader app through the Apple iTunes App Store.

“Community booksellers are some of the most passionate and experienced curators of good books for children and young adults. We’re excited to launch a program that allows them to extend that expertise and passion to the sale of eBooks as well as printed books,” said Ashley Andersen Zantop, Capstone Group Publisher and General Manager. “We’re thrilled to partner with some of our reader’s best-loved local bookstores to pilot the CapReader Retail Program. Giving bookstore customers a convenient way to purchase eBooks in their community bookstore, the place where they first discover so many of their favorite books, is a great opportunity for everyone.”

Some participating booksellers include:
