MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – July 5, 2016 – Capstone, a leading publisher of children’s books and digital products and services, announced its newest line of database modules PebbleGo Next™ Science. Building off the successful PebbleGo databases for grades PreK-3, PebbleGo Next Science will feature expanded content connected to grades 3-5 curriculum with longer, interactive, and more robust information.
PebbleGo Next Science module debuts this summer. Featuring more than 150 articles – all correlated to Next Generation Science Standards for grades 3-5. The modules rich content will explore Earth Science (atmosphere, geosphere, hydrosphere, plants & the solar system); Life Science (genetics, human anatomy, life in an ecosystem, plants & animals); Physical Science (energy, forces & motion, matter, waves); the Field of Science (jobs in science & science & engineering practices), and more.
“Our customers have long been asking us for more Pebble Go Next modules for their researchers who have graduated into a higher reading level. PebbleGo Next Science allow students to continue to grow in their research skills, with expanded articles and features and still offer all of the benefits which made the original PebbleGo so beloved,” said Matt Keller, Capstone’s Chief Marketing Officer.
PebbleGo Next Science will include expertly levelled text, fully narrated by professional voice-over artists to provide essential scaffolds for struggling readers and English language learners. PebbleGo Next Science employs a streamlined interface, dictionary with verbal and written responses, text highlighting, educational videos and games, research projects, and critical thinking questions. Suggested activities, which teach students how to cite articles and share what they’ve learned, are also included. The database will be available over the Internet 24/7 as an annual subscription for enrolled students. A second PebbleGo Next™ module for all 50 states and American Indians has also been updated to this new robust interface.
