Capstone Donates 220,000 Books to Books for Africa, Last of Three Truck Loads Leaves Capstone Office on Wednesday

The long voyage for more than 220,000 donated Capstone books will begin on Wednesday with a send-off ceremony at the publishers’ office in North Mankato at 2:00 p.m. Media is invited to attend the special ceremony.
Capstone, a leading publisher of children’s books and digital products and services, will hold a ceremony for its donation of more than 220,000 new books to Books for Africa, the world’s largest shipper of donated text and library books to the African continent. Representatives from Books for Africa will be in attendance.
The donated books will travel from Mankato to the Books for Africa warehouse in St. Paul, Minn., where they will be sorted and packaged for shipment to Africa. Books donated to the organization include titles from each of Capstone's imprints.
