Award-winning children’s author Michael Dahl will sign copies of his newest titles at BEA 2012.
Capstone presents celebrated author Michael Dahl who will sign advance reader copies of his forthcoming titles Troll Hunters and Hocus Pocus Hotel at BEA 2012. Both titles publish August 1, 2012. The suspenseful fantasy Troll Hunters follows the adventures of a group of teens who discover their town, and ultimately the entire world, is under attack by fierce creatures from deep beneath the earth. Troll Hunters is already receiving early buzz from reviewers: “A page-turner,” (Kirkus Reviews) and “While the default mode in most youth fantasy-horror stories is to go zany, Dahl instead goes epic,” (Booklist).
Combining magic and mysteries, Hocus Pocus Hotel follows the unlikely friendship between the school brain and the school bully as they team up to uncover the secrets of a mysterious hotel and its guests. Real magic tricks are uncovered and explained throughout the story. “With a touch of The Twilight Zone, it's the building and its guests that provide the eeriest entertainment,” (Kirkus Reviews).
Michael Dahl is the author of more than 200 books for children and young adults. He has won the AEP Distinguished Achievement Award three times for his nonfiction. His Finnegan Zwake mystery series was shortlisted twice by the Anthony and Agatha awards. He has also written the Return to the Library of Doom, Library of Doom and the Dragonblood series.
