My visits cover K-8, are very high-energy, and interactive. The students are involved, lots of Q&A time, and we cover everything from the writing process, what it is like to be an author, to stories from the books, themselves. I customize the presentation for the different grade levels so it is age-appropriate, and also work with the school's staff in advance to see what they want covered and really customize the experience.

For a typical school, I do a one- to two-day visit, depending on its budget. I had two visits last year, that were for four days and included writing workshops. On average, my indvidual presentations are between forty-five minutes to one hour, depending on the school.
