Reviews

School Library Journal - Freda Mosquera

These books are perfect introductions to the concepts of movement, simple forces, and energy and to the differences between pulling, pushing, and changing direction. They explain different aspects of how things move through simple texts and good-quality photographs that illustrate forces in action in contemporary settings. They also include practical notes to parents and teachers on how to introduce the subjects and how to develop activities at home and in classrooms. The ¿Qué aprendiste? (What did you learn?) sections and illustrated glossaries are particularly useful. An excellent complement for thematic storytimes on transportation, traveling, outdoor activities, sports, among others.
