Library Media Connection - Stacy Rosenthal

This series is a must for any elementary school that has a unit on warriors. Each volume gives a simple, yet factual description of the warriors covered. These books would be excellent for a social studies lesson with interdisciplinary opportunities and for research projects in the lower elementary grades. Each volume is very colorful and includes a map showing where the warriors were based, a timeline, a succinct place and date sidebar, intriguing "Did you know?: sidebars, an arts and crafts activity, glossary, and a "Find Out More" section with additional resources including books and websites.
