Library Media Connection - Janet Luch

This series describes insects and small mammals that might be found in various rooms of a house. Each book has a drawing of the room and an enlarged color drawing of a hidden insect or animal that might live there. Pages have a combination of drawings and photos of people using the room and close-up pictures, from a microscope if necessary, of the insect or animal discussed. There are also caption boxes with Fun Facts that tell interesting facts about the insect or animal. Curious children will enjoy learning about living things they had not thought about being in their house. They are sometimes even asked by the author to go look for the insects in their own home.
