Arlington Independent School District - Joanna Wasden

This book on Joseph Banks, one of the great naturalists, is in the biography series published by Heinemann-Raintree. I really like the lay-out of this series which includes maps, photographs, paintings, and diary/journal entries that are captioned in yellow. Additional information on each page is also highlighted in purple caption boxes. I found the text and illustrations to be interesting and informative to an upper elementary aged student.
