Registration, Login & Saved Carts
Many of our customers have requested the ability to save their information and order details for future use. Some would simply like to be able to keep the items in their Cart and return to it later. Others would like to mock up an order and be able to save it so that they can come back to edit or submit it once they have approval. The process of Registration and Saved Carts allows all of this to happen and more!
Registration: Registration simply allows you to save your Billing, Shipping and Library Processing options on our secured database. So that each time you place an online order, everything but the Payment Information is already filled in for you. (For your added security, we do not save credit card or Purchase Order numbers online.) Note that the Registration process does not add you to our Mailing List, unless you request it.
Note for Returning Customers: If you have already placed an online order through Capstone, you are already registered! The checkout process automatically generated a password for you. You can have it sent to you simply by entering your email address on this page. You will probably want to change it to something easier to remember, and we'll provide the links to do so in the email we send to you.
Login: Once you have Registered, you can use your Email Address and Password to Login and retrieve your registered information from any computer. And if you check the "Remember Me" box for automatic login, the site will place a small cookie on the computer you are currently using so that each time you come to our site from that computer, you are already logged in!
Saved Cart: Registered users have the added benefit of saving the items in their Cart (shopping cart) for future use. Since Registration allows you to access your information from any computer, you can also access your Saved Cart from any computer too! Here's how it works:
- Login to the Capstone web site by clicking the link in the Cart section.
(If you checked "Remember Me", you can skip this step!)
- The My Cart page will indicate if you have any Saved Carts at the bottom of the page.
- If you only have one, it will be automatically loaded into your Current Cart session.
- From the Saved Carts screen, clicking on any Cart Name will load the contents of that Saved Cart into your current Cart so that you can proceed to Checkout.
- Since you've logged in as a Registered User, the only thing you have to add is your Payment Information and your order is complete!
Other Uses for Saved Carts: Note that you can save more than one Cart. In fact, save as many as you want! You can use them as 'Wish Lists' or possible future orders. Or some customers like to use the Saved Carts to group their favorite items together so that they can build larger orders by "merging" the Saved Carts together. Others use them to create slightly different possible future orders.
Then when the final decision is made, you can load that Saved Cart and order it; keeping the others for later or deleting them as needed.
If I use a Saved Cart for an online order, will it disappear once the order is placed? YES! Since Capstone provides a way to view your online order history on the web site, any Cart used for the checkout/order process is automatically removed from the list of Saved Carts.
