Reviews

Library Media Connection - Melinda Miller, K-12 Library Media Specialist, Colton-Pierrepont Central School,

"Starred Review! Each title in this attractive and interesting series describes a community helper by reviewing what the person does, the things used during a work day, and how he/she helps us. Clues are given to help young readers guess before the “community helper mystery is solved.” The text is very brief but there is just enough information to get children guessing. Adding to the text are bold and colorful photographs. Young children will enjoy these books and teachers of the youngest students will appreciate them as a good way to introduce four community helpers: police officer, firefighter, dentist, and doctor. Purchase this series for some new material on community helpers with a very visually appealing layout, and one that gets kids thinking. Highly Recommended." - Library Media Connection
