Library Media Connection - Brenda Rogers

"Who will win: good or evil? Evil Echo wants the affection of Halo Nightly’s crush, Cody. Can Halo outwit her rival and win Cody’s heart? Find out what happens as Echo and Halo have a duel of magical powers in this brilliantly illustrated graphic novel. The main characters are introduced on the first page, with additional details, puzzlers, writing prompts, discussion questions, and a glossary at the end of the book. Discussion leaders can use this story to examine the importance of courage and critical thinking even when you’re frustrated or scared. Recommended." - Library Media Connection

A Parent's Guide to the Best Kids' Comics: Choosing Titles Your Children Will Lo - Scott Robbins and Snow Wildsmith

"Halo Nightly lives every child’s dream: She gains super-powers after being given magical candy by her Aunt Pandora. Readers who love Fashion Kitty’s fun (slightly girl-focused) take on super-heroes will also enjoy Dahl’s action-filled plots and Crowther’s bright, eye-catching art." - A Parent's Guide to the Best Kids' Comics: Choosing Titles Your Children Will Lo
