jessica gunderson

Jessica Gunderson grew up in the small town of Washburn, North Dakota. She earned a degree in English from the University of North Dakota and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She has written more than two dozen books for children, both fiction and nonfiction. Her favorite subject to write about is history. In 2007, she received the Pleasant T. Rowland Writing Fellowship to Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont. Currently she lives in Madison, Wisconsin, with her husband and cat.
