Manhattan Book Review - Glenn Dallas

"Oscar and the Amazing Gravity Repellent hits a lot of solid buttons for young readers — clumsiness, friendship, bullying, the curious magic of the everyday, the wonder of the unknown — and melds them into a fun little tale about responsibility, hope, and consequences. . . .This book gets a lot of things right, particularly Oscar’s overconfident moments (a great character element) and Asha’s unshakable support and thoughtfulness. They’re definitely a pairing I’d like to see again." - Manhattan Book Review

Tina L. Peterson

Tina L. Peterson has been fighting gravity her whole life. The idea for Oscar's tale first took root many years ago, when Tina saw a municipal truck labeled "Gravity Services" parked in front of the house. She never did figure out what that truck was doing, but ever since that day, her imagination has played with the idea of turning gravity off, even if only for a little while. Tina has a Ph.D. in mass media and communication from Temple University and is on the leadership council of the National Association for Media Literacy Education. Originally from Boulder, Colorado, she currently lives in Texas with her husband.
