Each Heinemann primera biblioteca book (Spanish translations from our Heinemann First Library brand) has been carefully designed at the appropriate reading level for grades 1-3. From concepts to text to graphic design—it's all developed and tested to make sure these books are just right for the primary student.
Each Heinemann primera biblioteca book:
- is developmentally appropriate for ages 6-8.
- offers a straightforward introduction to a topic.
- concentrates on only one concept per spread.
- limits text to 3-4 sentences per page.
- uses fonts of 18 points or larger for readability.
- features large, colorful photos and illustrations that truly support the text.
- provides helpful nonfiction features, including a glossary, index, and list of appropriately leveled books for further reading.
- presents nonfiction that supports the primary curriculum, as well as first research experiences.
